Access to Capital Quarterly Workshop
This workshop is designed to provide entrepreneurs and business owners with information on the various sources of capital available to finance a business enterprise. These include micro loan programs, crowdfunding, alternative lenders, SBA loan products, and traditional bank financing. The workshop helps individual participants understand what various lenders are looking for to qualify your business for credit. 

Black Construction Group (BCG)
The Black Construction Group, a special interest group of CBCC, is composed of business and professionals interested in the construction industry. In addition to regular meetings with key industry speakers, the BCG Summer Cookout and holiday event attract energetic members and supporters. Our members, including large prime construction companies and small specialized businesses, come to talk about their projects and meet potential partners.

Building Success: Entrepreneur Power Development Series
Think of the Building Success as the 6 session MBA for small businesses. Over each session, participates will receive all the tools they need to expand their business and thrive in any situation. Building Success was created to increase opportunities for Black-owned businesses in Colorado by helping them build their capacity to grow and flourish. In partnership with DU's Daniels College of Business, this year's theme is focused on building a family legacy by building your small business. Whether you're looking to become more proficient in marketing, accounting, business management or all of the above, the Building Success: Entrepreneur Power Development Series was created to support busy small businesses expand and thrive grow through them to get in, get what they need, get out, and get to work; immediately applying their new knowledge.

Colorado Enterprise Fund Black Business Loan
We know that, together, we can reach even more Black-owned, small businesses to help them access this invaluable working capital and coaching. Along with these low-barrier, low-rate loans, businesses can access business coaching for free, all through local certified CDFI, Colorado Enterprise Fund. Our goal is to make access to capital more attainable for Black-owned businesses - because access to capital shouldn't stand in the way of your small business dream.

Community Events
Your Chamber offers a myriad of events to attend throughout the year. The Chamber is often a clearinghouse for community events including the Mountain Regional Business Economic Summit (MRBES), Five Points Jazz Festival, Juneteenth Denver celebration, and the Center for African American Health Annual Dinner. These and other features are listed on the Chamber’s online calendar as a value-added service to its members and the community at large.

Day at the Capitol
The Chamber, Colorado Black Women for Political Action, Urban League of Metropolitan Denver, and others host business and community leaders from throughout the Denver metropolitan community for a day of presentations from elected officials on issues of importance to the African American community.

Denver Metro Small Business Development Center Seminars
Chamber members have the additional benefit of attending seminars at the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center at no charge. To view the upcoming training calendar or register for a seminar, visit www.denversbdc.org

Economic Forecast Breakfast
The CBCC partners with the Denver Branch of the Federal Reserve to provide its members with the latest emerging trends in the U.S. and Colorado economies. Topics include trends in GDP (Gross Domestic Product), consumer spending, business and consumer confidence, unemployment and under-employment trends, net migration to Colorado, residential construction activity, home pricing trends, commercial and multifamily vacancy rates, manufacturing activity, and trade data. 

Electronic Updates, Newsletters and Bid Notices
The Chamber regularly distributes business updates, newsletters and bid notices to members. Rather than generic e-blasts, all updates are sent utilizing customizable business categories to ensure members receive information and notices relevant to their businesses.

Emerging Entrepreneur Four Night Workshop
CBCC has partnered with Colorado Enterprise Fund to offer this in-person workshop series. Learn from small business experts about how to make your business dream a reality, plus how to get funding. Workshop leaders, training materials, and access to online small business tools provided by Colorado Enterprise Fund.

Emerging Professionals Leadership Series
In collaboration with its corporate members, the Chamber hosts a series of networking events and seminars focused on exposing talented, emerging professionals to opportunities ranging from financial services careers to nonprofit board service. Other events include career-focused discussions with professional employment recruiters and information on navigating the modern workplace.

Executive Welcome Events
The Chamber’s Executive Welcome events officially replaced the traditional business-after-hours programs and provides new African American business executives an opportunity to facilitate their transition to Denver with a high-level, meet-and-greet with business and community leaders.

Job Listings
In partnership with Jobing.com, regularly updated job listings can be found on the Chamber’s website and include both in-state and out-of-state employment opportunities for all levels of experience

Minority and Women's Chamber Coalition Business Expo
Hosted by the Minority and Women’s Chamber Coalition, this expo is held each year at Mile High Stadium. It features the six coalition members: the Asian Chamber, the Colorado Black Chamber, the Gay and Lesbian Chamber, the Hispanic Chamber, the Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber, and the Women’s Chamber. The event draws 150 -200 small businesses that display their products and/or services via Expo Booths.

Political Advocacy
The Chamber has increasingly been called to action to support and oppose community policies, initiatives and legislation that impact African American owned businesses. The Chamber welcomes the opportunity to advocate and serve as a strong business partner, but limits support to initiatives that have a direct impact on our most important stakeholder – African American owned businesses.

Yes, You Can: Financial Planning Strategies for Diverse Communities
The need for financial literacy is especially great for minorities, who continue to face unique challenges at home and in the workplace. Financial literacy can be a life-changer—impacting everything from getting a college education, to supporting a family, to following a chosen career, to starting a business. Created with Janus Henderson’s Diversity and Inclusion employee resource group, this educational program addresses the unique financial challenges diverse communities face by delivering financial planning strategies they can implement for a better future.
